This is a series I have been very excited to show.
If you cant handle male nudity or will criticize someone for any physical aspect of their body I suggest you unfollow me now before you make any comment and read any further.
A few weeks ago my partner and I went to a all male gay campground in southern New York for a night to meet up with some friends and relax as we both have been pretty stressed lately.
Once we had everything set up I went for a long walk to explore the grounds and as soon as I walked into the woods I saw many objects just laying out in the open that I knew I wanted to take photos of, But what didn’t hit me til a few hours later that we were at a clothing optional campground. I now had the option of photographing nude with out the hassle of being caught by law enforcement or by some creeps.
SO! I did just that. Its not often do I photograph my partner in this type of setting but he knew how much I have been wanting to photograph in this type of setting and he also knew exactly what type of photographs they were going to be. So we both walked into the woods at the beginning of sun down, stripped, and I began walking around shooting.
Now….I am a music photographer. BUT my heart lies in fine art photography and to photograph the exact opposite of what todays heterosexual photography community eats up (half naked tattooed girls) is a great feeling.
I want to break that wall down of only skinny women (Or men) are attractive because to me they aren’t. In my eyes….Big is beautiful.
(In reality, everyone is beautiful, but Ill be damned if I don’t want to break the stigma built around bigger people.)
So thank you to my wonderful partner for letting me take these portraits of him.
Welcome to A Bears World
